What to include

  • Property type (apartment / terraced / semi-detached / detached)
  • Number of bedrooms
  • Property address with Eircode
  • Approximate size (m²) if known
  • Please say whether the house has been extended (e.g. kitchen extension, sunroom, or attic conversion). Any of these will increase the fee by €10.
  • Type of heating system (e.g. oil or gas boiler, electric storage heaters, electric heat pump system)
  • Please indicate the reason you want the BER certificate (e.g. for the sale or letting of the property, because you are applying for SEAI grants, or because your mortgage provider has requested it). The extra paperwork for BER certificates for grant applications will increase the fee by €10 (except in the case of Solar PV panels).
